Project Summary:
Rockaway East Merchants Association (REMA) is a local merchants association in Far Rockaway, Queens that works to strengthen the Rockaway community and expand its business opportunities. Perch Advisors is guiding with REMA to support its Business Improvement District (BID) formation via the NYC Small Business Services' mandated four-phase BID formation framework. REMA with Perch Advisors' support completed Phase 1 of the process that includes establishment of a Steering Committee, a planning stage, a community needs assessment, and a determination of services, budget, and property assessment variables. Perch Advisors will continue to support REMA in Phase 2 of the BID formation that focuses on outreach which includes public meetings, and circulation and collection of Support Statements.
